Xiagezhuang Women's Federation recently invited Xue Bing, a lecturer from Beijing Lawyers Association to provide a lecture to help women in Longjiawu (a village in Xiagezhuang, a town in Pinggu, a district in Beijing) increase their knowledge about the Book on Marriage and Family in Chinese Civil Code (which took effect on January 1, 2021). Xue explained cases involving family disputes, so the women could improve their ability to protect their legal rights and interests.
Beijing Women's Federation during the past several years has invited women lawyers, from the association, to provide lectures and legal counseling to women (in Beijing's various communities and organizations), to help the women improve their ability to protect their rights and interests.
The federations, at all levels in Beijing, during the past several months have organized various activities to help residents improve their understanding of laws and regulations. Those efforts, in turn, have promoted social harmony and stability.
